ADDING BOOKS
Here at We Swap Books, we've tried to make it a simple process to add books. There are two methods to adding books, Automatic Method and Manual Method. This page explains the Manual Method, there is a link at the bottom to explain the Automatic Method.
1. On the Add Books page click the green button titled "Add Book Details Manually". Once clicked it will open a page that requires the following details:
ISBN : (
What is an ISBN?)
Title : Book Title
Author : Book Author or Authors
Notes : This is optional
Category : Select which section of the site you think your book best fits in
Condition : Select the description that best matches the condition of your book
Binding : Hardcover or Paperback
In terms of the book cover you have two options
Book Cover : Upload a photograph or even an image of the book you found on the web. Please make sure though that the book is either of jpg, gif, png or bmp image format and must not exceed 10KB.
Or
Upload without cover : Selecting this checkbox will upload a standard default image instead of the book cover. Obviously if you select this then you do not need to upload a book cover.
2. Once you have entered the details for the book and you're happy with what you've entered click the button on the right titled "Add Book".
